Up until today, I had no idea what the word couture meant. I had heard it used in the brand Juicy Couture, most commonly known for pants and shorts with their name printed on the posterior,or Randy Couture who is a Mixed Martial Arts Fighter in the UFC. So I headed over to dicitonary.com for the official definition.

It pretty much refers to designer or trendy cocktail dress makers. The group couture could be a synonym for dress maker. But also mean the type or style of cocktail evening dresses. Now if you're shopping in this category it could get pretty pricey since these types and styles of designer cocktail dresses are usually thought of as New York based dress makers' high end products. You can still look fabulous and getting some of these great designer cocktail dresses and have that couture cocktail dress look while not paying the trendy cocktail dress and couture prices.
